Power Steering Belt won't Tighten???

Belt broke snapped again on way home. About two months ago my PS belt tension bolt broken and I replaced it. Now I cannot get it to tighten! After I got crank pulley to move back over so i could put on the new PS belt, I try to tighten the belt back up, the bolt moves but belt doesnt tighten nor is the bolt on tension. Anyone had similar problem?

Two things:
1) Yes there is a pivot bolt that is accessed on the back side of the psp. This must be loose for the adjust bolt to do anything. It's on pretty tight and I need an extended pivoting ratchet to work on mine, and it barely fits.

2) The PS adjust bolt is left-hand threaded. Tighten it the opposite way as the other tensioner.

3) Do not overtorque on the adjust bolt. The bracket will break and that's even harder to replace than working on the psp correctly.

Your bolt is on wrong. Between the head of the bolt and before the threads start is where it should be positioned on the bracket.

I think I have this problem. The tensioner bolt doesn't tighten the belt
It looks like the flange is below the bracket. How do I get it back on correctly?
