THIS GROUP DEAL IS FOR THE MERCEDES STYLE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS. THAT MEANS THE MIRRORS HAVE THE TURN SIGNALS IN THEM. THE AVAILABLE COLORS WILL BE BLUE AND AMBER. THE MIRRORS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR 4TH AND MOST LIKELY FOR THE 5TH GEN ALSO. THE PRICE IS GONNA BE ABOUT $300 FOR THE PAIR. IF ANYBODY remembers that blue maxima that had these, its the same mirrors. I've been looking all over for these Mirrors.....do you think that you'll have to sacrafice the motorized mirrow adjustment for these? ......and the color options don't mesh to well with me either. Will more colors be coming out? And last question, can they be installed easily.

basically this "mirror" is a cover that you will install in place of the current back piece of your side view mirror. the cover contains the turn signal, which comes in a bluish tinted bulb, which can match your headlights, or in amber to match, if you decided to keep the orange turn signals in the front and/or rear. you will need to take these mirror covers to a shop to get painted to match the color of your car, but that shouldnt cost much. You won't lose any motorized features because you are not replacing the entire mirror. Sorry for not going into more detail before, but I hope this answers your question. benz mirrors belong on a benz. On any other car they would be fugly, nothing more to say.

 

Then i suggest you don't get them. Not everyone shares your opinion.

 

Are these covers made for the maxima/cefiro? I have seen covers like them at many import shops and all of them tell me that I can use them with some modification. I don't want modified, generic turn signal mirrors. I don't mind it being a cover, but it needs to be made specifically for our cars.

 

good suggestion...yes this are benz type mirrors, meaning they are not on the mirror itself and do not look like the trucks

It's Blue Indiglo strip (not a light bulb). Indiglo stips has a longer life than bulbs (and is massively used in Military... such as gauges.. etc).

Painting the mirrors to your body color usually cost about U$ 50-75..

You will use your power mirror and (heated mirror if it's equipped).

the indiglo light strip is built into the mirror cover just like it is on the mercedes. i believe there are some mirrors like this made for hondas that the light strip is attached but that would be very easy to steal...as with these it's an actual mirror...

Im intrested. Took a look at the linked pic on someones sig. Routed you to a blue Max that had some signals on the mirrors ARE THESE the ones your talking about? If so, they don't look too hot.

I agree. Like the pic in the begining of this thread (a link) of a blue max.....not very appealing at all.
