low end power sucks in my max

hi...like what the title says,97 auto...no cel no hidden codes......did nothing recently apart from muffler change (dynomax)...TB , IAVC , MAF cleaned 1K miles before......plugs (NGK) 3K miles before, fuel filter 5K before.oil mobile1 synthetc 5w30...tranny flush 10K before with new fluid, and it shifts fine...KS is 10 months old....Always 93 chevron or shell .......I don't know if it is related to hot weather these days (?) ....... the car would smash the street if I floor it , but granny style driving is irritating me much , it's like I have an elephant in the car........what affects the low end power ? any ideas appreciated

gas octane, knock sensor freaking out from said gas. my car has lost a bit of low end power when it got hot also, thinking about moving my gas up to 91 to get it back. sucks big time, half the time i want to skip 1st

or in my case also having my 00vi open/close times switched

I was having the exact same problem the last month, I just bought the car, and proceeded to replace and clean EVERYTHING so I knew I started fresh. But I still was lacking low end. Well today I punched the gas, felt a big stumble and then the service engine light. I have a scanner and it read Knock sensor code (brand new), random misfire codes (new wires and coils) and then the upstream o2 sensor. Cleared the codes drove 1/2 mi. On again So I went and bought one put it in, and it drives like brand new. I had no clue that a bad 02 could cause so many issues, but it must have been very lazy the last month? Now, should I replace the other upstream one, or wait?

Codes or not - it's most likely your 02 Sensor(s) (it could be one or all).

"Most cars get absolutely no benefit from premium gasoline AT ALL, but some high performance cars have a higher compression ratio, and they can benefit from it. But they don’t need it. Because of the modern knock sensors, even high performance cars with high compression ratios don’t need premium gas. You won’t get the maximum amount of power from the high performance car if you use regular, but you’re not going to damage your car."~http://www.ridelust.com/octane-ratin...he-difference/

Just goes to show even NEW O2 sensors fail...

Hope you get it sorted.
