6th gen 1/8th mile times....blah
Car is a 2005 6 speed, all options, 75,000 miles, little over 1/2 tank of 93 octane and a fujita intake as the only mod. I'm really disappointed with the times. Had three 9.6's, one 9.7 and one 9.8. The slower times were with some wheel spin and 2.4 second 60 foots. The 9.6's were with 2.2 60 foot times. I tried various rpm's with and without the traction control on but couldn't get a good launch. I'm on stock size badyear tires and didn't mess with the air pressure any (32psi or so) I trapped 75.xx mph on every run, didn't miss any shifts, but let off between each shift. I was really expecting about a 9.0, but it just wasn't going to happen. It was in the 80's temp wise, not sure about the humidity. I did beat a friend's trailblazer ss 3 times, but it seems slow just like my car does. What gives?

I tried launching different ways, even with the traction control on and couldn't do any better. If I dropped the clutch from higher than about 2,000 it would spin and get a 2.4 60'. Tried letting it out slowly from 3,500 and it either spun or didn't spin and got a 2.2 60'. I don't think it's possible to shift faster unless you just flat foot shift it which I'm not going to do in something I rely on everyday.
No idea what the DA was but it was mid 80's and the track elevation is only 600 feet above sea level.
I did dyno it last year and it put down 230whp and 22x torque with the intake.

Drop some air pressure, and go from there. FYI, I don't see you cutting a 9.0 1/8th mile in a stock 6th gen with an intake. I cut a 9.0 @ 80 1/8th and went 14.0, so I doubt you replicate that in a stock 6th gen..no offense just a frame of reference..
Also, as mentioned...don't lift!

Now I'm at 8.7 @ 80 in the 1/8 with an intake and a 3" exhaust.
