need help! creaking after replacing inner tie rod!

so i was sooped to replace the passenger side inner tierod, the boot had been ripped for a while so i went ahead and decided to just replace the the inner too. got everything off put the new one in new boot, done.

now i went to go turn it on theres a horrible creaking, grinding noise from the DRIVER side. not sure if its the tierod on that side, or the strut mount. all i know is that it was not present before i did the work. i drove it a little but the steering feels loose and it will pull really strong to the left.

anyone know what could have gone wrong? desperate for help at this point.

also i notice that ps fluid is leaking from the cap now, does the system have too much pressure in it somehow? idk what is going on.

ok so i was able to pin point that creaking noise to the strut mount, but is it just a coincidence that it would start making noise right after i worked on the passenger side tie rod?

i mean i did leave the car on jacks overnight since i couldn't finish doing everything yesterday. i don't think that would put any wear on the bearing or anything..

i'm at a loss for why ps fluid is coming up out of the cap though, if theres air in the system all i'd have to do is turn the wheel a few times to bleed it though correct?

Bump for you!

There is a strong pull to the left, which sounds like an alignment problem. But I honestly don't know a lot about suspension and it sounds like something went wrong somewhere.

Hopefully someone chimes in.

i'm pretty sure once i get an alignment tomorrow it will be fine aside from the strut mount. i thought i had botched something but i guess just coincidence. also replaced a busted sway bar link. it should ride muchhh better.

If you truly have a problem with the strut mount, that will throw the alignment off. Get that verified one way or the other before you waste your money on an alignment.

^ will it really? i mean i get alignment for 25, i just don't wanna drive around with bad alignment until i change the bearing which will probably be mid next week when i have time. i thought unless your lowering, simply swapping out a strut didn't change alignment only when you mess with the adjustment on the tierod..?
