For Those Of You with Loose Hoods

Hey, I did this mod about a year ago to prevent or eliminate hood movement during driving......Y I personally think those little rubber bumper w/the screwed threads suck and fail eventually..... here's my fix.....A couple of large area washers, a couple of nuts, 1 carriage bolt, and a pack of rubber tips.....per side!

Hmm, I've never had a problem with loose hoods on any of my Maximas, but I DO have this problem on my Civic.

The car had been in a slight wreck previous to my owning it, and the radiator support is slightly tweaked down. Screwing that little rubber thing out as far as it will go isn't long enough and so the hood on that side rattles around (especially at idle at intersections - bugs the heck out of me).

I'll have to try this out on it

Yeah I got tired of trying to find good adjustable hood bumpers in the JY and have them only disintegrate once they're installed and adjusted 1 time! I had to find a fix for my hood movement due to the lousey bumpstop design....I made it with these cheap hardware parts......

My hood struts are fine, they can support an open hood for about a week b4 I notice any
difference, that wasn't even the problem!!!!!....The front of the hood was bouncing at freeway speeds and I hate the OEM threaded Hood bumpstops they suck oatmeal....
