Anyone ever race a 2000 prelude SH? I was gonna get one and I just wanted to know if anyone beat one.

 

I raced a 01 base model 5 speed, with unknown mods.

First race he ran a 15.0 to my 14.8.

The second race he ran a 14.9 to my 14.7.

I did most of the pulling ahead through the first 1/8th, and then held him off to win both times.

 

Since its SH its 5spd ... If you're Auto ... U might have Some Difficulty unless U get a Good Launch.

If you are 5spd ... U should be able to walk him.

 

Prelude SHs arent worth it IMHO. For that money I'd rather just have a 'base' prelude and add a quaife to it. That way it would be lighter than an SH and the drivetrain would be more efficient than an SH.

 

Is that spotch from the clubsi board?

Anyways... did you guys know that the ATTS in the 5th gen prelude makes a simple clutch replacement literally a 20 hour job? At $75 an hour, thats $1500 just in labor!!!

 

You're not gonna walk by a 5th gen prelude. Sure, 1/4 mile numbers are similar, but quarter mile takes you to only like 90mph. After that, Prelude starts pulling on you. My auto 98 is no match for the Prelude after 70+ mph, and my bro's 5th gen 5spd did beat the prelude, but the prelude didn't get killed or anything. 5th gen prelude is my 2nd favorite car.

 

I can't say I have had any problems in my six speed.
