Brake Light On Most Of The Time.....
Brake Light On Most Of The Time.....
NO ABS.
Brakes work normally.Absolutely nothing unusual.
Brake fluid normal.
Definately no fluid leak ( my garage floor is painted, so I'm sure ).
A few weeks ago I started noticing the brake light would be on while driving. Of course I thought the hand brake was still engaged. But it wasn't. Well now it's on most of the time. I did as much investigating that I could to try to figure when it came on and turned off.
I have noticed that I could get it to turn off when I hit the gas. And sometimes could get it to turn on when I hit the brake. I also noticed that it came on when I went over a speed bump....and while making a turn. So it seems centrifugal force has an affect on it.
This leads me to believe that it has to do with the switch that the hand brake must engage. Does anyone agree?.....and where is that switch located? Thanks for any help........Jim

Re: Brake Light On Most Of The Time.....
check the hand brake and the cable for it. i guess a good way to chekc to see if its on all the time is to jack up the back of your car, with the parking brake off, and see if the wheels spin freely. If not, then your cable is too tight or something. If they do, then you probably have a bad light/sensor
