max sold, got me a 94 teg hybrid

man i loved that max, it was a charcol grey 93 gxe (auto 160 hp 180 tq)

it had alot of torque but crap for high end plus i always wanted a manuel

i got a 94 integra ls white mauel with around 75 k miles

my friend just gave me his vtec head that came off his b16a (si motor), the only problem i think i will run into is to figure out how to plug the oil line (people who have done this swap know what i am talking about) and i just ordered civic type r pistons

the ls pistons are flat but the civic type r pistons are dome shaped, it supposed to raise compression and increase hp so i cant do turbo anymore but i dont care, i was going for all motor anyways

me and my freinds will start working on the car tomorrow

i will keep you guys updated and btw its a 4 door teg incase you was wondering, i think the 4 doors look better and also i like the convience

with a ls block, vtec head, civic type r pistons only i will break into low or mid 14's easily

I assume you have a new ecu or add on to control the VTEC activation and all the ignition timing/fuel curves changes necessary for these types of mods. Better get to HondaData Endyn and see how to to this. Good luck!

I'm actually thinking of getting a 94-95 Teg LS myself and boost it (2-door though). Have fun getting into the 14's with a 4-door LS motor with only upgraded pistons. Check out my car club's website (www.teamkayo.com) and look at our member KC's Integra. He has done the all-motor setup with EVERYTHING upgraded. He's only in the mid 14's on street tires. We also have a 4-door Integra LS auto that runs mid 17's.

not bad i used to knock hondas to the death until i actually reliazed the aftermarket, how much and how inexpensive, ill be done payin for my max in april and i was planning on getting a 92-95 del sol or si hatchback, with the SOHC vtec..with the single cam,the turbo kits from greddy are very simple and affordable, lists for $1995 and ive seen on group buys for $1400...if only maximas were that simple to buy and find...the reason i want to go this way is i want to affordably have a turbo car that wasnt turbocharged from the factory..in addition to that these cars are bolt on bliss...tube intakes for $60,catback exhaust $275,and parts are abundant and easy to find, only thing i wont like is ill have the only turbo honda around here but ill go to the track and see 36 of them, might change my mind but i think when my cars paid im gonna get something else

i will keep you guys updated and btw its a 4 door teg incase you was wondering, i think the 4 doors look better and also i like the convience

look at the tunability of a honda engine though,if we could swap in skyline engines,id love to stick to max's and if turbo kits were $1500...if you look at the tuning aspect, the honda is defintly better

But then if you tune a honda, you become one of those rice boys. Qualitywise and Overall, max is better

it is harder to rice a maxima than it is a honda, but we dont get the aftermarket support they get, the only downside to owning a maxima

yes, i am getting a chip but its not a mugen cause they dont sell chips, they sell the whole ecu so i am getting a mugen copy cat

i was planning on getting the type r head instead of the b16a because the r head is already port and polished but the b16a is free so no complaints

i am going to do either civic r tranny or teg r tranny, the civic has better accel while the teg has better top end
