This was in my dealers showroom Saturday Morning
I walked in Gates Nissan in Richmond KY where I bought my 2012 MAXIMA just to say hi to the guys and have a cup of coffee and shoot the breeze a little and looked over to the left and there she sat. Smacking me in the face was 1 of 50 totall in the U.S. NISSAN GTR BLACK EDITION. My tongue hit the floor followed by a large pool of drool. Thought I would share it with yall. oh BTW a doctor in Richmond ky bought it sight unseen over the phone while on vacation, supposed to pick up this week sometime when he gets back.

Pics, videos, magazines, tv and all do NOT do this thing justice. It is pure sex when in person. Hottest thing I have seen in a while. Dealer did say they work with on Price. They came down all the way to 107,000$. They did say it has the smallest markup of any nissan vehicle they carry. Now thats what they told me. Whether its true or not is yet to be seen.
did you guys ever read about how it cost $2,000 for a routine maintenance on a GTR? i might have to find it, it was an interesting read.
(not that $2,000 is much if u can afford it to begin with)

Back in 2007 when the new GTR was brand spankin magazine cover new, I was working as a webmaster for an offshore boat racing team. Next door was this really cool auto performance shop. Small, but he did a lot of custom work for high end vehicles (mostly Porsches). One morning I get to work and theres a GTR in my parking spot. INSTABONER. I get out and they see me drooling over it. The owner of the shop says "hey take ray for a spin in that thing", before I know it I'm strapped into that beast with the biggest grin on my face. Luckily where I worked was an industrial area, mostly warehouses with plenty of long windy roads for him to show off. To say the least, I was impressed.
Btw, he bought the car for his wife. He just picked it up from the Nissan dealership down the street and was getting to play with it before surrendering it. Makes me wonder what kind of car a guy who buys his wife a GTR has.
Sick pics btw and thanks for sharing!
And ya $2,000 for a routine maintenance is nothing. My ex's sister had a Turbo Porsche I used to have to drive 35 minutes South to get serviced because she didn't have time and knew I enjoyed it. I would walk into the Porsche dealership like a baws and get treated like one. They even had a Bugatti in there once.

That's beautiful!
Did they let you get behind the wheel? A long time ago, I went car shopping with my roomie in Houston, and just to see how the dealers would react, we stopped into a Lambo dealership. Nicest guys that I've ever met at a dealership. They let us drool over a Diablo VT they had on the floor for about 30 minutes. We sat in it like little kids, touching and rubbing the steering wheel, doors, and gear shift lever.

Yeah they had a White one with the black package at my dealer this past weekend. I love everything about the black package except the silver lip on the damn rims I personally would love the thing if the rims didnt have that silver lip
In all honesty, it's just another car. A damn nice one, if I was rich I'd like to have one.
But in the end, aside from performance and safety features, it's not much different than any other Nissan. Same sheet metal, same wires, same connectors, same bolts, same leather, same steering wheel, same glass, ect. Point being, you don't have to pay $100,000 for a high quality Nissan. Add a little customization here and there, and you have a car that does things the GT-R doesn't. Or any car for that matter.

Yeah if I were rich, I'd buy one. But I'm not rich, yet still satisfied with my 160 HP Maxima
Customizing and creating is what excites me. I don't need a super fast car that can go around Hitler's track really fast. I enjoy driving, but I don't need to do it as fast as possible or be the fastest car out there. Anyway, a factory GT-R still can't do what my 91 Maxima can do, and not nearly as advanced on the interior side of things, so I would still have to customize it.

It can actually do everything your Max can do and much much better.
Big trunk, seats 4 people, incredibly fast, one of the most technological cars to date, shockingly fast, gets fairly good gas mileage...did I mention fast? Sure it's got $99,000 on the price tag vs your 91 maxima, but it's also worth all $99,000 more. Also considering what you get?! for $100,000 you get a 540hp AWD super car that can go around the nurberg faster than any other production car and even faster than most exotic cars and that's with everything completely stock. Drop $80,000 into an AMS or HKS tuning package and you'll get a whopping 1000hp monster. Even at that price you are still under the price of some exotics. Just food for thought.Last edited by infinimax96; May 4, 2012 at 02:53 AM.
