2K2 GLE seems much quieter than 2K1 SE -- Why?

2K2 GLE seems much quieter than 2K1 SE -- Why?
Just drove a 2K2 GLE. As soon as I started it, noticed how much quieter the car was than my 2K1 SE at idle. Was also much quieter while driving.
Anyone else noticed this? Any explanation?
