Best 4-channel amp for 200-250$??

I'll be looking to get an amp in the near future to power my stock speakers, the headunit made a difference but not enough, there is still rattle and static at higher then average volume.
I'm not looking to go deaf and set off car alarms from 2 blocks away when I'll be adding a sub and upgrading speakers later on. But what is a good quality amp, reliable and good for crisp sound, even at high volume? I would like to spend about 200-250$ on this thing.. Someone reccomended Eclipse, not sure of exact model.. but what do you think, and what would you reccomend?

thanks

You will not get a good crisp sound out of stock 25 watt speakers even if you use the best amp ever.
Get Eclipse 82641 speakers instead.

It may not be the best but I got a 4 channel Hifonics z440 for $200. It's rated at 55w RMS/channel.

yes, i realize that.. but it should be better for the time being, i just can't afford speakers right now, so I'm thinking i'll add an amp, then do the speakers when i can.

Why not do it the other way? Get nice speakers now and power them from the headunit and get an amp later on.

main problem in the factory system is the lack of power. When you replace speakers, you still have the same amount of power and distortion going to them. When you amplify the factory speakers, you are removing the low bass frequencies from the speakers allowing them to play clearer and much louder.

Not with the aftermarket headunit.

Also, NYCe Max if you decide to power your stockers from the amp consider getting a sub too cuz just like Anton said you're going to lose some bass...and it's not fun without bass.

Just to add to the list, i'd recommend the JBL 80.4. It's a nice piece of work.

If you want cheap and a relatively good amp check out the Pioneer 354. It retails for $100 on ebay right now.
