Headlight issue

hello, i'm new to this site & i'm having a slight issue w/ my wife's passenger side headlight. i noticed about a week ago that herb passenger's side bulb went out, so i finally got around to changing it yesterday. well i changed both bulbs w/ 2 brand new bulbs & still nada w/ the right bulb. should i next change to the fuses (in & out) to see if that will fix the issue?

Check your bulb receptacle/connector maybe it's melted the connector body and not allowing the contacts to fully connect....Pep Boys sell Hi-Temp connectors and them seemed to cure my problems on both my 4th and 3rd gen headlights which run high wattage bulbs! Break out you VOM and start checking the connector's pins.

It could be a fuse. Each headlight has it's own fuse. The fuses are under the hood by the battery and are labeled H/LAMP RH and H/LAMP LH.

In addition to checking the bulb socket, it is a possibility for a bad switch on the steering column,

Check the grounds. A bad ground on that side would cause both high and low beams to be dead.

Fuses and grounds will affect both the low and high beam.

If the high beam works, then the wire connection in the socket for the low beam has a problem or the headlight switch has a problem.
