Need help with clip to fasten wheel hub moulding
Hello to all. I need help with figuring out what clip/fastener I need to fix the following issue: the moulding/panel inside the front right wheel hub is supposed to be secured to the undercarriage of the Maxima, in the area below the engine, by a rubber piece that is connected to the moulding on one end and the undercarriage of the car on the other end. In my Maxima's case, the rubber piece is properly attached to the moulding. But, the clip/fastener that the rubber piece is supposed to attach to under the engine compartment on the undercarriage of the Maxima has fallen out of the hole. Now, the rubber piece is hanging and the moulding is not secured to the undercarriage of the car the way it is supposed to be. If anyone could send me a link to purchase the OEM clip/fastener to fasten the rubber down to the undercarriage I would be forever grateful. This is driving me nuts! Thank you to all for taking the time to help me out. FYI--my Maxima is a 2009 SV.

It's a simple plastic (expanding type) fastener. They sell these at auto parts stores everywhere and in assorted sizes. Some even come with a Phillips type head to screw-in.
You could go to the dealership but they are on the spendy side.

I went to Advanced Auto Parts last week and they did not seem to have what I needed. Also, the hole that the fastener goes into is not ribbed at all, it is completely open inside. Do you have a part number for me so I can order the right fastener? Or could you send me a link to a fastener that you think would do it? Thanks so much for your help.

This is what they in effect are, these are 8mm.
I'm not sure of the hole size, but you should be able to figure that out on your own unless someone here knows off-hand?
It's not rocket science.
