15" 300ZX (1st gen) Wheel Fitmnet

Does anyone know if these wheels will fit on a 5th gen Maxima? Note, these wheels only came on the ZX Turbo, as the NA cars still used the 4 lug wheels. I was thinking about gabbing them from the JY for snow tire wheels. I know the bolt pattern is correct (5 x 4.5"), but not sure about offset, hub size, or possible clearance problem with caliper. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Brad

4 Lug bolt pattern: 4x4.5(4x114.3)
5 Lug bolt pattern: 5x4.5(5x114.3)
Studs are m12x1.25
Centerbore is 66.1mm

Stock wheel offset:

84-85 all(except AE): 30mm
86 non-turbo: 10mm
86 turbo: 20mm
87-89 Turbo: 30mm
87-89 non-turbo: 20mm

The stock tire size is 215-60-15 on 15x6.5 wheels, and 225-50-16 on the 16x7 wheels.

So the offset is incorrect for the answer to your question, the wheel will stick out almost 1" more out. This might very well will cause wheel well rubbing when you hit potholes or when you pack too many people in the car.

I know cause I did this on my 98 Millenia, I got the wrong offset and the wheels stuck out, not like so far that it was OUTSIDE of the fender, more like just enough so that when the wheel goes up into the wheel well, it would rub the outer side of the inside wheel well.

Thanks for the info - I guess you know something about Z's, huh? <g>
Do you know if the Maxima centerbore is also 66.1mm? Since these would be snow tires wheels, I'd get skinnier, taller tires, so I might be okay clearance-wise. Of the wheels you've posted above, do you know what size (15 or 16) and bolt-hole count (4 or 5) they are? I'm sure the 30mm offset wheels would be fine since that's only 10mm different than stock.

BTW, how do you attach JPEG's here? I have a picture of the wheels I'm looking at.

Thanks again,

Brad
