Power steering pump belt cause ?
Hi Experts,
would it be possible if the power steering pump was replaced and belt was not correctly put it on, would it cause steering to be hard ?
my steering wheel was smooth but when pump was replaced, it very hard after then.

Sounds more like a bad pump.
No squeals or slipping belt sounds?
Fluid level fine/no bubbles?
Does it feel like no power steering where you have to muscle it, or just harder to turn than before?

i had 2 power steering pump replaced and on 2nd pump replacement, the steering become little hard. the pump was still making loud noise so the machanic said its also a defactive pump. on 3rd pump replacement the steering wheel become really hard.
i dont know if machanic done somehting accidently or just power steering gone defective .
fluid is fine and no bubbles..
i also added transtune and still no luck.
no squeals noise from the belt so far.
