rear tail light led retrofit
rear tail light led retrofit
Just wondering who has changed out all their tail lights with led's on their 3rd gen with good results. If so what kind of led's were used and was their a change of relay needed etc. ? Any links that may be helpful? I've swapped out just about everything but the tails. I tried once but got a quick ticking/flashing on the dash but no lights in the back. Not sure if it may have been polarity related or not but if anyone has had good sucess with anything plug and play at a descent cost please feel free to share any links or experiences. Thanks.
I have done all my tails, except the turn signals, with (eBay) LEDs with very good results. The front corners are also done. I am talking about the one that lights up when the headlights are on and the indicator is put on.
Is it just the turn signals you enquiring about? Because of the low amperage draw of the LEDs compared to the regular bulbs, it caused hyper/fast flashing unless resistors are used.

Yes sir. The turn signals was mainly what i was wondering about. Ive done the front corners replacing the yellow but i didnt really notice they were that much brighter. About the same as the halogen but atleast they'll last longer. If i can find a descent led that will work well i may do the reverse and brake lights but ive seen many mixed things about them not being as bright as the halogens when doing some research. My 3rd brake light has a custom made led board which is pretty nice though.
