p0301 code. Cylinder 1 misfire

Over the weekend, my SES light turned on. I checked it and it read p0301. My spark plugs, NGK, have about 20k miles. The car has 209k miles. Is it safe to assume it is the coil pack or should i also purchase a spark plug and swap it since i'll be in there already? Also, what are your recommendations on coil packs. Rockauto.com has Hitachi as a favorite, or should i check junkyard for an OEM? Also, I might as well change Valve Cover Gasket right? Thanks!

Do you know if I can i access/remove the cylinder 1 ignition coil without having to remove the intake manifold?

You can't remove any of the rear bank coils/plugs w/o removing the intake on a VQ engine. Now that you asked, it's clear to me that considering the effort of removing the intake, you'd be better off just replacing the coil with known good. My apologies, I was confused thinking it was the front passenger cylinder you were talking about.

Yea, i figured replacing the coil was a more convenient solution. That's why i figured I ask a second time. haha Thanks for the replies!
