Forgot to bolt up the carrier bearing after replacing the axle, how do I get it to rotate to align so I can put the bolts in

 

Well that was a hard lesson to learn, I guess the carrier bearing only spins freely up until the axle is popped in. I am missing a dust guard on this axle but I think it's all the way in and with the carrier bearing bolted up I assume that means it's all the way in?

 

Yes, if the carrier bearing is bolted in the axle is fully seated. Only the driver side "pops" into place.

Which "dust guard" is missing?

 

The one that slides over the trans side of the axle, it covers the axle seal. Dont think it comes with aftermarket axles and you gotta slide it off the old one but the axle was previously replaced and I don't think they transferred it over
