Front Brake Calipers - Reasonable High Performance or Something Else?

So I replaced the Master Cylinder with a new centric and the front left caliper is hanging, so time (209K) for some new High Performance Brake Hoses:
Amazon Amazon

I already have Powerstop Rotors and Pads.

Now, I'm looking for decent or better Calipers that aren't insanely priced! I'd like to find something that squeezes a bit more.

Who found something worthwhile?

Thanks!

The most important thing about the calipers is that you get something that's coated, which will help stop the rust.

I suggest either Cardone Ultra or Napa Eclipse.

Coated rotors and coated calipers are the best

6th gen calipers are a decent upgrade but you'll have to swap rotors, pads, brackets and bolts along with them.

Since you appear to be replacing almost all of your braking system, I'd expect that you will be pleasently surprised by how well everything works out.

I replaced almost all of what you did last fall. My hoses were still fine. I was quite pleased with the results.

Sometimes we get accustomed gradually decreasing performance, then are shocked with the difference after a repair is done.

Some of the truest words posted here.

I'm looking forward to putting people in the driver's seat through the windshield when they mouth off. LOL

My windshield is quite pitted after all these years/miles.

Time to treat yourself to a new windshield for a better view of life. About 200 bucks if you look around.

It's worth it!

Ya know..... Now that I think about it, I'd be in the Driver's seat! LOL

I do have full glass still. Nothing a pellet can't help remedy! Said Bawana, the Big Game Hunter.

Coated sure look better! But my 99 SE has the original calipers still in the front and they weren't coated and have lasted over 208K.

What I'm looking for is the ones in slightly higher than average price rebuilts, that perform better (squeeze a bit more at the same brake pedal pressure) if that';s a reality and a LONG time. Coated would be a plus, but not the main focus.

If Powerstop still carried the S1218 Front pair, They'd be on already.

LOL

My car isn't worth $1500. A complete expensive forklift upgrade is quite ridiculous!

And I already have Powerstop rotors and pads. Cardone Friction was what I bought! $75 for the front pair.

That leaves me $1425 for Hookers and Blow. (J/K) And why I pursue te peak of value.

I have that for my '97 GLE. All the goodies are going on that car. That's why I included the link to the cheap big brake kit. Even my friend is putting on the cheap big brake kit on his G20. You can't beat the first link off rock auto for $220. I got you covered buddy.

Sorry but 4th Gen and 5th Gen caliper use different size torque member fasteners so some drilling of the steering knuckle will be required...To avoid this I went to dual piston (1995) Q45 calipers which use the same size fasteners for the torque member as the 3rd/4th Gen Maxima front brake assy along with the thicker rotors!
