Hello maxima form members,
I have a 1996 maxima se ( wing, cloth seats, white gages, no sun roof, body color door handles.) With a 5 spd that i picked up at a junk yard for 500$. So far i have replaced the timeing chain, tenscioners and guides, camshaft sprocket, waterpump( with motor in car!) , intake manifold gaskets, rear valve cover gasket/ spark plug seals, colant hoses for the throttle body and egr, iacv, and some other small stuff.
As of right now i still need rear struts, front and rear pads/ rotors, vacume hoses( the small ones under throttle body), power steering hoses ( small leak in front of ratiator). Im posting here for opinions on what brands to get (so far ive seen cordone= oem and i should buy monro struts) and were i should buy parts that are quality and low cost. Also any tips on what else to replace or keep an eye on. Thanks for any input its appreciated.

 

Welcome new 4th gen owner. Don't forget to check the oil pressure switch right behind the oil pan. It tends to leak. If not, it will be fine.
