Where can I find a decent weather strip for the 4th gen trunk

I've been back and forth from the junkyard ever since mold has attacked my trunk due to a leaking weather strip from the past raining season. But has anyone here replaced theirs with new weather strip? Where did you get it? I've checked ebay, but they only have universal fits for the 4th gen, and the original part for the 4th gen has been discontinued. What can I do? I really don't want to get universal fit weather strips.

I wonder if newer maxima models that are still available can be adapted to the size of our trunks?

Have you removed the old one and inspected where the water is getting by? you might be able to re apply with quality weatherstrip adhesive and dam up any leaks. If there's one there.

Sometimes the water leaks from around the rear windshield. Look under the trim molding and pour water to see where the entry point is.

If it is the trunk lid seal, this is good stuff. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/tes-08011

I tried parts.com and the screen allows me to order it. However, this is not a guarantee that it is available I would suggest going to parts.com and get their phone number and talk to them. The part number is 84830-40U00.

Dennis gave me an idea......

If the I30 and Maxima are the same, here you go: https://www.infinitipartsdeal.com/pa...830-51u10.html

Let us know. I'd rather have a new one than glue mine to seal right again too!

Nothing as sexy as NEW weatherstripping around all the places that have it!
