Coolant leak
Coolant leak
I was driving down Rte 70 in Lakewood when all of a sudden, my car shut off. I already knew it was the alternator and had it towed to a Mavis.... Next day, I showed up and they told me my alternator went and my battery died too. Ok, they quoted me $936 which came out to be $1,073.00 total 😳. I go get it 2 days later and I drive by the blue claws stadium which is 10 mins down the road and guess what? Yes, it died again..... I immediately take it back to Mavis and they apologize that the alternator and battery they sold me is defective. I get it back 3 days later, and now the ac is blowing warm. Smh, I take it back because they charged me to evacuate and recharge the ac system since they had to take the ac compressor out to change the alternator. Now, I get my car back and now it's a leak.... Its not alot but it's leaking antifreeze right where the alternator is. I'm assuming the water pump and/or the thermostat is there too. Which one could it be? I'm not having any heat problems and the car isn't overheating. What could the problem be? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
Take a close look at where the hoses connect to the plastic "manifold" where the pressure cap is. I had a minor leak from a small crack on that piece of plastic and know it can be a little problematic resecuring the hoses there.
