1997 VQ30de into Mazda RX8 >Please help

Hi everyone,

Hi everyone,

I am looking for your help I have done Rx8 VQ30de swap I got the engine from 1997 Nissan Maxima but I got an issue with wiring diagram, there is a difference between the main ECM socket on my harness there two rows, but on the all diagrams that I found on the internet there are three rows.

Was your donor car an automatic? That looks like the TCU/TCM connector.

Must see pictures of VQ30de in a Mazda Rx8. I've never seen someone do that...

Not sure why anyone would? That's like putting a old Briggs and Stratton in a new Corvette.

Crank triple forged and shot peened. I wonder why .... it has a formula car piston speed,and i regulary put my stock VQ30DEK up around 8000rpm. Go back and read all the awards,and accolades .

Thats the transmission control module connector not the ecm (engine control module) connector which is gray in color and much longer.

The photo of the blue connector is not a 4th gen ECU or TCM connector. It is for the 3rd gen North American Maxima ECU.

Is the Maxima you have a North American Maxima or on made for another part of the world?
