I was wondering if a muffler delete and or a resonator delete is worth it. I was going to go with an electronic exhaust cutout but I wouldn't like a second opinion please.

What do you mean worth it? It'll be loud as F**K , obnoxious, irritating, and not too classy! Why not just add a cut out to the existing exhaust?

 

This was my 4th Gen when I first received it from a buddy who deleted everything and add in a NoiseMaster (Flowmaster) muffler....It sucked!

Here is a MES 2.5" Aluminized exhaust system was brand new not carbon filled yet which will quiet it down even more!

 

I assume you want faster acceleration times.

You might want to start with making sure that your engine is running as well as it should.

Things like taking care of any and all codes, new spark plugs, clean air filter, etc.

A properly running 4th Gen maxima was capable of 0 to 60 in 7 seconds when it was new. Perhaps 8 seconds now?
We hear from new members who complain that their poorly running car is not as fast as they like.

Beyond that, Cmax has a good answer.
Doing what he suggests will do most of what you want while not offending all your neighbors and the local police department.
