Looking at this manual on the Bose speakers impedance/ohm, it says most speakers are 3.6 ohm, rear doors are 3.7 ohm and rear deck woofers are 1.0 ohm. In my research, why does everyone say all are 2 ohm speakers? Am I missing something?
that would be their average impedance or "nominal impedance" there is a strong possibility depending on what frequency they are playing they might be 16 ohm, or 2 ohm, or 0.5 ohm.
Google "speaker impedance curve" and you should get an understanding of how much resistance the speaker has at different frequencies in different types of enclosures.
