Brake light switch keeps going out?

Brake light switch keeps going out?
2008 Maxima with 225,000 MI.
I replaced the brake light switch about four times now over the last 3 years. The last two I've put in were inter motor brand. It just starts randomly and I try to adjust it but it's fully depressed and the brake light stays on. It's killed my battery several times now.
Could it be anything other than the brake light switch? There's a switch right above it that also makes contact with the brake pedal but I don't really know what it does.
