Hey guys, I would like to engine swap my 2004 6 speed maxima and put a 2018 engine in it, what kind of work needs to be done, will the transmission bolt up and work with the engine?

 

It will work. Expect to do business with NisFormance. They have a mail-in ECU reprogramming service if you want to do it yourself. It's about $7500 parts and labor to have the engine sourced and done for you including a transmission rebuild. You can expect some orphaned plugs on the newer engine. My 2002 got totaled and I'm replacing it with a non-running 2004. As an added bonus, my 2004 looks like it had wiring work done by the Three Stooges with the previous owner.
