Bizzare Infotanment issue

Hi all,
I have a 2017 Maxima SR and a 370z Nismo and i love them, i have owned many Nissans in my days.

I am having and issue with the infotainment system and i can not find an answer anywhere and of course the issues is never present when at the dealer. Sometimes when i start driving my infotainment screen starts jumping all over the place and making random selections, changing stations, making phone calls, mainly going to the map and jumping all over the place on the map, its almost like a button is stuck somewhere. sometimes the touch screen wont work and i have to rely on the middle dial near shifter. this usually happens more often when its cold out, which is the main reason i bought this car so it happens quite a bit in the winter. After a while it goes away and works normally. Ive owned the car for a little over a year now and it seems more frequent than last year, car has 96k miles and everything else works fine except for the weak window motors which seems to be a nissan problem for all their cars.

any ideas?

Vulcarin - just seeing your issue and I have a issue like that, but my issue is when I press the volume button on the steering wheel up or down while driving it sometimes changes the infotainment screen to another selection/another screen. It only happens every now and then, but definitely shouldn't happen at all. Just weird. Haven't brought it up to the dealership as I know I can't replicate the problem when there. I do know there are several TSB's on the infotainment system as far as updates, but haven't dived into that yet on whether a software update, if even needed based on the TSB's will solve the problem.

Is anyone else experiencing these issues?

I doubt is a software issue but more likely thermal stress from high/low temp ranges. Nissan also switched
vendors in around 2018 for the radio.gps nav systems. I'd shop for a 2019 or newer head unit. Lots more features built in. There is quite a bit of info on how to do this elsewhere in this site.
Nissan may not be the only mfr having these issues since the intention is for these to last for 6 7 years -tops.
Let us know what you do.

Thanks Robtroxel. In my case, since it doesn't happen that often, and there are no other issues or issues to the extent of Vulcarin, I'm not planning on replacing the head unit since the cost doesn't justify the replacement...yet. If it starts going crazy without any interaction like it appears with Vulcarin, then I'll probably look into your recommendation. Thanks for the info on the 2019 head unit or newer. I'll definitely keep that in mind.
