VIAS Power Valve Leak - Smoke Test

Hey all, have a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE (6 speed). Going through a host of issues, last being ECU/Throttle relearn won't stick. Pretty sure ECU I'm about to address. But wanted to smoke test just to rule out all vacuum. Noticed a smoke leak (pretty good one) from the VIAS power valve hole going into the intake. Before I go pulling it all apart, a few questions....does it always leak there? I don't smoke test a lot. Sprayed brake cleaner directly while running and no RPM increase, so wondering how big it is. Also, I'm assuming this doesn't really have a big impact, right? I'm looking at the block-off plate route with NWP engineering, but they may be out of business, haven't heard back yet. Don't really want to buy an eBay power valve if y'all tell me that area is not a big deal when it came to my smoke test. Or if someone knows another block-off plate. I didn't see one out there, and not in the mood to fab one right now, but will if necessary. With a stick, I'm not worried about any loss from block-off plate.

Any help greatly appreciated on the topic!

I’ve got a block off plate if you decide to go that route.
