Can bad power valve cause intense whistle?
Hi all,
Trying to track down issues, one of which is an intense, high-pitched whistle, very loud, which sounds like a vacuum leak. The most notable thing is that when I turn the car off, there is an incredibly loud whistle/squeal that sounds like pressure being released.
I noticed while replacing my VIAS solenoid (got the P1800 code) that if I touched the arm controlling the power valve butterfly in the manifold, that I get some whistling, and that the shaft seems to have a lot of play. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of that?
