NOS Bottle mounting options

So, I'm going to start the install of the kit shortly. How do you guys recommend mounting the bottle?

Drilling into the body of the car itself and putting holes in the trunk liner? Placing a sheet of plywood (or something similar) in the trunk and drill into that?

What have you guys done?

I would use a piece of wood & mount it to that. I drilled right into my body & recently sold the nitrous kit. You can see right through the holes & see thr ground. I mounted mine on the driver side. I knpw sprint & sx7r mounted it on the same side. 1MAX2NV mounted his on the passenger side. In the trunk, there are the rubber gromets, use a razor blade and slit a little "x" and rnu the hose right down. If you mount on driver side, run the hose next to the fuel line. Just zip tie it to fuel line.

Thanks guys...

Where to mount the bottle isn't my question though. I want to know what to mount it on.

i've done both. i found just drilling into the trunk itself was easiest, most secure, and clean looking.

use a fake duffel bag setup behind your driver seat. run a line up to the engine bay. there you have a "stealthy" setup and you can remove it when you're done. or use 5lb bottles inside your dash. haha this is the cheating way. i don't have nitrous. this was just a suggestion from a certain performance shop employee i was talking to recently(who won many all motor contests using a similar method). i will never go to nos when i can have all motor power! i will run 13s. i will!
