2k2 oil filter

Went to a dealership to buy couple oil filter for my 2k2. They gave me two with part number 15208-9E000. When I got home, I went under my Max and observed that the part number in the from-the-factory oil filter is different, 15208-65F01.
Could this be because one is probably "made in Japan", while the other one is "made in USA"? Are these filters compatible?
I will probably go back to the dealer to ask before I attempt to use them, but I was wondering if anybody has used the filter with p/n 15208-9E000 will fit.

Thanks

I heard about this before, it's normal I think. The filters you bought should fit.

The filters they gave you will fit, but the manufacturer's part number for the 2K2 Max is the 65F01 number, or 65F00. The only difference is that the 65F00/01 filters are shorter. Both will work.

Thanks!

Cool! Thanks for the info. Actually if the 9E000 is longer, it may have a larger filtering area, which is most likely a good thing. Thanks again.

Re: Thanks!

FYI also, the 65F00/01 filters are the same ones spec'ed for the 2001/2002 Pathfinder with the VQ35 engine.

Interesing that Nissan designs a bigger engine, yet the oil filters are smaller and the manual trans. fluid capacity is half that of the cars with the VQ30 !!!
