Hey guys, I might be getting my hands on about $2000 to spend on my car (97 Black GLE-stock)...and I want to know what's the best stuff I can get for my money...and i won't be allowed to do any performance mods like y-pipes, exhaust and the such...pretty much a result of a speeding ticket...so mainly cosmetic...here's what I know I want right now:

1) new rims...seriously looking into the Enkei CDR9s 17-inch...anyone have any input on them?

2) fog lights...probably stock ones...how much to put in?
3) 30-35% tint all around
4) Diamond Cut Bumper Lenses
5) maybe clearing out my tails...

any other suggestions?

How about some performance to back up the looks you've got planned?

At least get a Y-pipe and some suspension work.

like i said in the first message, unfortunately, my parents won't allow me to do any performance mods...being 16 and getting a speeding ticket after driving for only 5 months didn't help...so they won't allow me to get any performance...i might get some suspension work to drop it, but nothing like a y-pipe or CAI or anythin

 

They'd only know about the y-pipe if you told them. it alone will give you about 12hp to the wheels, with no added noise and you cant really see it...so...

yeah, they look real nice and i can get them for about $1100 shipped with Nitto 555s mounted...and they're only like 21 lbs each, i know that's a little on the heavy side, but still not too bad...how much do the stock GLE 15s weigh?

and i have the BOSE system on my car, how hard is it to add on to that, i heard it's pretty hard...and i don't wanna strip out everything cuz the sound is pretty good for me, just need a little more bass, and i'll only have this car for about a year and a half till i'm off to college and i might get something new...

 

if you do get the rims, get some suspension work done ... if you lower your max, and have rims, it looks really nice

 

If you can get away with it, y-pipe and definately suspension mods. Rims can wait.
Have the y-pipe delivered somewhere (like a friend's place whose parents you can trust ) or something like that.

altezzas
5" exhaust tip (dont worry, no performance, just show)
mirror tint 5%
bulbs all around (dont worry about matching the color, just find the best prices you can on ebay)
vented fenders
supra spoiler
type r emblem
indiglo gauges
tenzo zt-6 rims
and all the decals you can find my boy!

 

Don't forget the GT-R emblem as well

...thanks man...i want to turn my car into the best ricemobile...NOT!...the only thing i would maybe consider out of that list are the altezzas, and that only in black chrome...but i think i would rather clear my tails out instead, much cleaner...and thanks for all the suggestions guys, i'll be looking into it all...and i definitely will get some suspension work done if i am able to get the rims...probably a 1.5-1.8" drop and some KYB shocks...thanks again guys
