Shaving Off Trunk Letters

What's up guys...I have a 95 SE and I wanted to shave off the letters on the trunk...I was just wondering if they are bolted or if they are glued...and also what method can be used to take them off...if you guys can help me out that would be great...Thanks

Glued and use some fishing string and a hair dryer.
