How do I stop squealing brakes?

Ok....my EBC's have recently(like 3 days) started to squeal when warm/hot. It seems like if I press lightly they squeal but harder and they quiet down. The funny part is that I haven't heard a peep from them for the first 6 weeks they have been on the car. I had NEW nissan rotors put on and it was done at a dealer. Also they used a new shim kit. I can't understand why they would suddenly start squealing.

Also, I have been pretty easy on the pads. A few hard stops but thats it in 1000 miles of driving. Really not hard at all. Should I take her up to 80 or so and really pound the brakes a few times? I did notice that my dealer DID use some kind of paste(silvery) on the back of the pads so I don't think I need any "brake quiet" stuff.

Any ideas? other ebc owners?

BTW: I really do like the pads.

well take them apart and use some more of the "brake quiet" stuff. If it still squeals then there is nothing you can do about it...it is just the brake pads...you'll try to live with it for as long as you can before you say damn i had enough this is embarrassing!!!

Good Luck

did u do the brake or did a shop do them?
make sure the sliding pins are greased. the shims are tight on the pads and the bolts are tight.
good luck..
if all else fails i'd say that it's the pads.
