warm air through fresh air vent

My fresh air vent warms the outside air. I have the temp all the way to cold, but I can't get air as cold as the outside. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Ah, I think you need to clarify whether you are trying to use your air-conditioner to cool the air or if you are just opening up the 'vent' function and getting fresh air in. The AC won't cool the air if you don't tell it to and typically the air coming in during a vent cycle is warmer than actual temp due to engine/road heat..

I am talking about just the vent - no A/C.
I am wondering if there could be a duct loose somewhere. When the car was new, I don't recall haviong this problem.

I've almost never had cold air through my vents without the AC on, even on freezing nights. It's just one of the things of my car I've learned to live with.
