2k2 - Those with aftermarket radio (BOSE)

I did a search and came up short....

Those who have a 2k2 with the bose system, was there a kit that u bought to make a single din radio fit on the sides...I tried to install my Alpine 7893 with the pocket to fill the bottom space, but there is still plenty of space on the sides and even on top of the headunit....Also there's a small gap in between the unit and the pocket...what can I get to fill in the gaps and make it look nice and pretty!! thanks

I can't answer ur question, but I have one for you, did you leave the Stock Bose speakers and amp in, and how do they work with the alpine radio, because I have the same radio, by the way, why didn't you install it on the glass case by the sunroof, it costs about 150 to get it installed there, and it looks hot as hell.

Once I saw the gap and all I put back the bose radio....I plan on taking out all the bose crap and putting in everything I had in my Altima before I got the max....Most of the guys from the NYC area heard what my Altima could do with that system, so I'm hoping the Max can do the same.

i have the perfect FIX for that. Goto nissan and buy the center a/c vents for a 2000 GXE w/o C&C. It will come with the radio dash kit w/ the pocket. Thats as good as it will look.

There is a solution...I too had that gap once I put in my Pioneer 7480 DVD player. So, to 'fix' the problem, I put in a Pioneer 6 disk in dash changer. Filled the gap right up!

Please post a pic of the Soche kit. I need to see if it actually matches that grey trim around the factory unit.

Thanks.

just like i thought. If you notice the border on the AC unit, it is suppose to continue on to the radio and then to the AC vents. NO aftermarket dashkits have this design on them. The only one that will is the 2000/2001 Maxima GXE w/o C&C center AC vents that come with the hole for the base tape unit and pocket.

Isn't this piece all black?

I don't think there is a plate that will both match the color of the dash and also have the contour above the heater controls continued into the radio plate. I have seen the Schoshe piece and it lines up nice and the color matches closely to the rest of the dash..
