NOS, is it worth it?

Hey ya'll. I got a 97 maxima and was concidering putting nitrous in it, but I am worried that I am going to blow my transmition or even worse. I have very poor acceleration in low gears and am looking for a boost. Is NOS really worth it and if it is what else would I need besides the basic kit? Any other suggestions about added acceleration would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks.

you shouldnt use Nitrous to gain performance your car has lost. Get your car runing 100% first, then if you still feel the need for more speed, get Nitrous or a Blower

I agree with Toylet. If you are looking for a fountain of youth for your car, nitrous is not the way to find it. There are a ton of things, much much easier and cheaper, to get your car running right before considering nitrous. Tune ups, clutch changes, intakes, exhaust work, etc is substantially easier and sometimes cheaper to achieve the results you are looking for.

Consider that first. What mods do you have now? Lets start there.
