Walbro install for 5th gen, major problems

just spent 3 hours trying to get the Walbro fuel pump to fit back into the casing and it still doesn't fit right. I cut off the plastic spacers on the Walbro and it still was 3 mm too big. In addition to that I had to take off the rubber spacer between the clip that hold the fuel pump into the fuel pump housing in place. I'm not exactly sure how that will affect it but that was the only way I could get everything to fit. The whole thing has been a complete nightmare, my fuel level meter isn't working properly. I'll take a look at it tomorrow. Any one that is trying to do a Fuel Pump upgrade on a 5th should should consider buying an inline pump instead. Man, all this so I can run 75 shot of NOS, I'm beginning to think that it's not worth it. I should stick with my 55 shot.

hehe Rough install is an understatement! Definitely stick with the inline! I have no idea how the other 5th gen ppl did it.

Are you sure you got the right pump? It should be a direct fit, no modding required... at least it is on the 4th gens...
