Quick! Let me know if this is a good price!
Tomorrow morning I am getting an A/F, FP, and EGT put into my car under the radio. When I told the mechanic what I wanted, he said no problem, it should be about an hour and a half @ $55/Hr. Now that he has looked at the car, He said that it will take 4 hrs. to do.
I don't have very much money so I just want to be sure that I am not getting ripped off.
Thanks!

It all depends on where you are having him tap the exhuast and how hard it is to get to. Remember that you get what you pay for. Buuuuuuuut, I think that's quite high. Here's an idea-go to a good car audio shop to have them install the gauge in the car and run the wiring to the engine bay. That should cost about 25 to 50 bucks, no more. Then you can go to a reputable 'exhaust' shop to have them install the probe-no more than a 30 min job. If you are so inclined then you could install it yourself fairly easily or get a more mechanically inlined buddy to help. You should not spend over $100(total) any way you decide to go. Good luck

He said that he is going to tap the EGT into the Y pipe and the FP is a little hard to get to. He said that it will take about 3 hrs. to do the gauges and then another hour to make a custom cover for the gauges to be put under the radio in my car.
I can't do anything on my car if my life depended on it so I probably won't be doing any of it myself.
How long should it take and how much?

I hear ya. Just my last .02
I would feel much better having a reputable audio shop doing the install inside the cabin. They do installs for a living and should have a really good grasp on how to make everything look just right. As on the other hand you have a mechanic that makes most of his money repairing things on the outside of the cabin. I'd go with repetion.
As far as tapping the y-pipe, that should be a fairly easy job and not tough to get to. For the fpg, i'm not sure were he intends to tap the line, but unless he has paws the size of bigfoot that should be a fairly straightforward and easy job. (I hope your using an electronic fpg for in the cabin mounting) If it is mechanical and the mech knows this and he still agrees to put it in-RUNNNNNNN very far. However, if you trust this guy and feel comfortable that he will do a good job then use him. If you're not sure then just stop buy another shop to get a second estimate. Let us know how it turns out.
