NX kit installed Part Two
NX kit installed Part Two
Took the day off today and changed my oil, installed my CF door pillars and worked on my NX install.
Part 1:
Ran SS nitrous lines to engine bay. Ran SS line to glove box to connect to my Nitrous gauge.
Drilled holes and mounted bottle brackets. Set up NX remote bottle opener.
Ran wires from engine bay through passenger door into glove box for purge, activation, remote bottle opener and bottle heater.
Part 2 - Today
Installed three fuel tees and connected fuel line to filter. Connected the tees to the stock fuel line. Hooked up Fuel Pressure Gauge, installed nitrous fuel line and FPSS (all mounted, no wiring yet with the exception of the FPG).
Mounted Fuel and nitrous solenoids and purge valve (solenoid and purge line).
Drilled and mounted nozzle and ran all nitrous and fuel SS lines.
Mounted activation switch. I have a VI and had to get a little creative with the Mounting.
Part 3 -
Will be connecting all wiring and hooking up the MSD RPM switch.
Test runs and some fun.
I took a bunch of pics and will post later.

Sounds like your pretty organized Dave. I am still trying to get the wiper blades off so I can get into the rain tray to run my purge line. I need a small puller for the blades, don't think they have ever been off, my 97 they just popped right off.

Quite honestly, I was pretty overwhelmed at first and wanted to make sure I got everything right the first time.
However, after doing this install it would be very easy to do it again.
That first time is the key...had to pop my cherry

Definitely a DIY'er install. If I had a shop do it, I would not be able to troubleshoot or know what everything is and what it does.
Wiring is next then some testing.
BTW: Where did you get your plugs and did you change the gap? I have a part # for the plugs.

I got them at a local auto store here, they had to order them in, I use BKR7ES gapped at .035. I have a champion sparkplug gapping tool that I got at a snowmobile race in Alberta in 1972. That was long before they started gapping them in the box.
First time is hardest you are right, I think I took just as long this time doing it, just not planning it, I like to take my time and make sure I am not missing anything, I hate surprises.

.Burnt almost everything up and thus the new faster engine. His second time at the track he ran 12.6 with slicks.
Anyway, I am going to start with the 35 to make sure all bugs are worked out.
