Dry NOS w/ factory ECU ?
Dry NOS w/ factory ECU ?

I just purchased my Maxima earlier this year from my Mom. I have mad a few upgrades to the vehicle that include a Y-pipe, intake & cat back exhaust. I have a nitrous kit from one of my older vehicles & I want to use it as a (DRY) system on my Max. My question being, How big of a shot can I run & be able to have the factory ECU compensate for the additional fuel. It's my understanding that most ECU's will compensate up to 20%. Also, would it be best to run the (DRY) fogger before the MAF sensor so the computer will be able to adjust for the cooler tempature, or should I place the fogger behind the sensor. Just incase anyone thinks I would be crazy to place it infront of the MAF just take into consideration that I would make sure that the fogger is not directly spraying onto the heated wire inside of the sensor. Any help on this would be greatly appriciated. Thank you! P.S. Last night I was reading a write by a person called Jime who was describing how to modify a drop sensor for 4th gen. automatic. I understand through my years of hotrodding that increased shift firmness is actually better for your tranny, but for some reason my Maxima already feels like it shifts super hard already. I'm I just tripping or are there any other auto Max owners out there that feel there car shifts hard already? Would this mod still be benifical if your car already shifts hard without the modification? Thank you again!

1 800 576 2139 X 182 ask for dean. tell him curtis from ny recommended you. these people know the maxima so he wont steer you wrong. i was running 14.1 @ 98 mph with the 60 shot dry all day long. that was over three yrs ago and today i have the same very kit and it still works beautiful. but i have upgraded since then cause i caught the mod bug.
p.s the jet goes on the throttle body not before the maf you will damage it.
Cool, Stillen is only like 1hr away from my pad. I'll call him up to get his opinion & maybe see if i can come in and show him what kind of system I plan on putting on the car. Thanks for the info! Hey, have you ever heard of a guy named Rod Millen? He's like the 6 time road course grand champion or something like that. Anyways, my cousin used to work for his race team. I'm sure you have probably seen some pictures of his ol' school 300ZX. He also hooks up a bunch of other car's. Anyway, if you get a change to see this show called "RIDES" your gonna flip out when you see this Lexus he hooked up. They took the V8 engine out of a LX430 sedan & put it in the IS300 so basically it's now an IS430. Anyhow this friggin car is nutty boy!!! I'm not sure if you get that show back in the NY but if you do keep a look out for it. If this car goe's into mass production it's over. I don't think that there will be another 4 door car that will be able to hold a candle too it. I just though I would mention it because they tested it at willow springs a couple of weeks ago & I could basically see it all from my back yard. Thats rides pretty tight... Hey maybe you can help me with something. How do you guy's embed pictures into your posts? You know when you see someone has put a picture of there car or something in there? Any help would be great thanks & good looking out on the Nitrous info.......

hope that helps
Thanks, but how can I do this with a picture right from my desktop instead of from a web address? For example if I have a picture of my car, but it's not located on any website on uploaded to my hard drive? Thanks a bunch!!!
you can't. you can only "attach" images if you're a donating member, and you can't donate right now. go to www.cardomain.com and register. it's free and you can upload pics there. then right click on a picture and view properties. there you will find the URL of that pic. take care.
