Traction issues

It's not what most of you probably are thinking, I'm conerned that I AM getting traction on a 50 and 70 shot in 1st gear and in second as if I werent using nitrous at all. 1995 Auto, Y pipe, catback, stillen intake w/ mid pipe, 1 step colder plugs at .035", drop resistor mod, tranny cooler, kumho 712 tires set at 32psi (have about 10,000 miles on them) in front and rear. The only time they dont stick is on the 1-2 shift they chirp while I'm spraying. Any ideas? The car doesnt feel as fast as it should. Could be a number of things, might be losing compression on motor, not enough fuel or too much and its bogging down or the knock sensor is bad. Car def isnt performing where it should be. Even mid and top end feel weak.

Are you getting bottle pressure? Do you have a bottle heater? Are you low on N2O? You may need to refill the bottle, and you may also need to heat it up to get to around 1200 PSI. Are you sure the nitrous is spraying? Can you hear it spraying? How long have you had N2O? Was it better before, and just recently started acting up? Does the car feel normal when you aren't spraying? What type of arming do you run (WOT switch, RPM window, On/Off)? Answer a few of these, and we can help you out.

Yes I have a bottle heater, the bottle was just filled 3 days ago. Yes I am sure the nitrous is spraying because I can feel and hear it spray. I've had the kit installed for about a year and half. Car feels sluggish durign normal drivign, low end SUCKS. Using both WOT and rpm switch set to 3,000-6,300rpms. I dont know what else it could be, the fuel pressure is up there where it should be. I know the knock sensor is bad which is why it feels sluggish and that could be why I'm experiencing the nitrous problems too because it isnt boosting it up to where a normal running car would be at. The nozzle is mounted in the mid pipe about 1" before the T/B. Also with the pressure, I dont know how high the pressure on the bottle usually is when I use it since its in the trunk. But I know its not at 1200, more like 1,000- that might make it feel harder if I let it get some higher pressure first.

I havent used the nitrous at all since last summer, so for comparsin I cant recall well enough how it felt, but it wasnt like this. I'd get a lot of torque steer when it hit and now it doesnt do that. 1st gear the would break loose completely and now the tires dont even chirp except for the 1-2 shift.

I have heard that if the knock sensor is bad, it won't run the same N/A or N2O. I would say to get that fixed first. If your car isn't running strong without the juice, it won't get much better with it. I was throwing a CE light last year, and the car was real sluggish when I tried to get on it, kinda like a protect mode.

It still runs stonger with the nitrous obviously, but I know it's being held back. I'm going to get a knew KS and see where that leaves me and then I'll post back. It's been mid 80's and pretty humid lately too and that is no good for performance.

Last night I pulled codes again from my ECU and got the lovely 0304 AGAIN. I cleared it and then decided to take a look. I Unhooked the ground for the KS cleaned it off w/ a wire brush real well and then hooked it back up. I didnt touch the acutal sensor because my engine was hot and I didnt have enough time or a small set of hands to get in there. But then I drove it after fixing the ground and it feels a bit better. Tires finally peeled out for the first time in weeks. Havent tried the nitrous yet, I'm waiting a little while longer to see if the CEL comes back on first.

Its not the fuel filter, I changed that not too long ago. It's the knock sensor for sure.
