Q about fuel press. bump
Okay, I have a Zex dry shot setup. Now I know that it raises the fuel pressure when I engage it. Will it bump the pressure even if there's no nitrous flow?
I recently hooked up an electronic fuel pressure gauge and was curious how much pressure I'm getting on the nitrous, but I have an empty bottle so I just tried turning it on anyways. The gauge showed no increase in fuel pressure. It shows about 50 psi.
Hopefully I'll be getting the bottle filled for next weekend, but now I a bit worried. I was going to a 100hp shot and if my fuel pressure isn't raising I don't think I want to hit it. I have been running a 75hp shot for a while and never had a problem.
I did upgrade the fuel pump to a Walbro. So I know I can get the pressure I need. Just not seeing it. Any ideas?

It is the nitrous bleeding through the fuel jet to the top of the fuel pressure regulator that causes the fuel pressure to increase. A high vacuum from the intake manifold causes it to decrease. Thats why its low at idle and high at WOT. So, no nitrous, no pressure increase.
Stop worrying, but do monitor the pressure when you get the bottle filled.
