Nitrous Discuss dry, wet, and direct port nitrous setups. How many shots can you handle?

Stupid question I know... but what kinda of cars can you beat with a 75-100shot?

I have run 12.1 on a 3.5L with a 100 shot and 12.5 on my 3.0L, that will beat a couple of cars at least.

are you planning on racing at a track from a dig or on the street from a roll cause that will make a big diference on what you can beat. you will beable to hang with alot of cars from a roll but depending on your drving skill and traction even with slicks you could loose to the same car from a stop

Jime, do you have a list or any pics as to how you set up your nitrous on the 3.0? Did you just do a NX wet kit, plugs and race gas or did you do other things?

Thats pretty much it other than an intake and exhaust and of course slicks. The best time I have gotten is still a single nozzle setup on both cars.

However, since I have tried the dual setup and the Maximizer and have not improved the time.

The 3.0L ran a 12.5 with a 100 shot at a 12.1 with a 150.

Jime, hey hows it going, well um I'm not sure if you know my friend his names John Paul (95 white maxima w/NX, in south texas area), he was running 12.6 with a 125shot. He's told me he's talk to you a couple of times about running nitrous and all the things around. Well this guy is the one working on my car.. He wants to run a dual stage later on, but right now he wants me to practice with a smaller shot, of course I dont want to go with a 50shot, but whatever. He always refers to you, and well I never knew exactly who he was talking about, but now that I saw your org name it clicked any ways, do you have a link to your relay fan switch setup, I printed the write up, but it would be nice if I had that diagram also.. thanks

Check my website under Tech. It has a small writeup and diagram. I don't use the relay anymore, found a much easier way to do it.

Don't turn your nose up at the 50 shot, my 95 dropped a full 1.5 seconds off the 1/4 with a 35 shot. ie 14.6 to 13.1

This year when I race (25 races) I am only going to run a small shot, ie 35-50, I can easily run 12's that way and because I bracket race, consistency is much more important than another few tenths. Last year I ran a 12.2 on a 70 shot, dual stage 35-35. So don't discount the ability of the smaller shots, plus its much easier on the equipment and I have a long season so have to keep it together.

Wow, with a 35 shot you dropped 1.5 seconds? Im running NX 50 shot and it doesnt seem like i will hit 13s. Was that with minor bolt ons, one step colder and no race gas?

Intake, y & B pipe, DR mod, slicks, 2 steps colder, 94 octane. 14.6 N/A isn't all that fast even for an auto and there were absolutely no changes between runs, they were run back to back approx 15 mins between.

Well since you have slicks, what rpm were you launching it at?

I launch at about 1k, just above idle, I find that works best. There are no tractions problems at full torque but it just seems to launch better at a lower RPM.
