Boost & Nitrous??

I wanted to know how hard would it be to boost a vq35 at about 8psi and have a 50 shot of nos. How hard would it be to do. I am thinking of it, but I am not sure if I want to risk blowing the motor doing it. So let me know what you guys think and how hard it would be to boost and juice. Thanks.

Try researching more. A vq35 have been turboed and at 5.5psi it produced 450+whp, I don't think you're going to get to 8psi without doing some kind of engine work.

Anything can be done, it all depends how deep your pockets are. It's not hard when your pockets are deep. Now if you don't have much money then it will be hard. This modding is dependent on cash flow.

Money is not an option right now, I have it. I just need to get info on how to boost and juice a vq35. Im looking for about 6-9psi, and about a 30-50 shot.

i still say just turn the boost up 2psi and have a fake push button...so turn ure boost up then push the button and pretend u just sprayed, then turn ure boost down

and what did i tell u about calling nitrous "NOS"?

If you activate the juice at ~3000-3500 and the boost hits at ~3500-4000 it will be real tough to get traction even with slicks. This would be an interesting project however.

Torque steer is going to be a nightmare....you will get no traction with that much power....its going to be alot of money to do it, but if you can hook up then wow......

That is a flase statement buddy. 3.5L have been running 10 psi + w/ no problems(if tuned correctly) on stock internals.

Starchild, you could do a happy button which would allow you to spray whenever you want. As far as boost and nitrous is concerned, i am also getting a kit and have been researching. If you get a wet kit all you need is to pull timming accordingly to prevent detonation. You would be safe running a 30-50 shot

why would you want turbo and nos? You'll be making enough power from turbo alone. If you want extra hp, just increase your boost.

Guys usually just use it until the turbo spools up to get out of the hole. One of the small disadvatages of a turbo.

I doubt he'll be using turbo as big as my head. He'll be fine using a small turbo

if used correctly the juice will get him out the hole faster than any s/c or turbo can. i mainly use mine for immediate speed off the line and some time as a filler for mid pull. me personally when im running for a 1/4 mile time its less boost more spray but just make sure you have some sort of computer to adj the timing accordingly.

i can attest to that. i saw c max run a 19lbs turbo supra and beat him off the line with 7lbs and 35 wet shot i believe. but when they ran from highway speed the supra hung in there and as he spooled up began to pull on c max but that was expected. my point is turbo and nitrous is beneficial for a quicker takeoff but not nessecary to have a fast turbo cause you can always turn up the boost
