installation probs.....

does anyone have the installation instructions or know where i can find them for an NX automatic bottle heater? i'm having a b*tch of a time trying to find it, and i really don't wanna screw anything up by guessing on it.....

also, does anyone know how to program an msd rpm activated window switch? i have no idea how this works, but i do want it on my car so i don't have to spray the shift.....traction is already a huge issue.....

any and all help is appreciated....

Did you try checking the nitrous express website? Click here for the installation instructions.

For the MSD window switch, you have to send it to MSD first to get it modified to work on the Maxima. Then you need to pick up the correct "pills" to activate and shutoff your nitrous flow. Here is a link to the installation instructions

I'm not buying your statement that you've been looking really hard, that took me two minutes.

I can't believe ppl don't first look in the obvious places when searching for something. OMFG what a newb. If not a newb, an idiot.

why is it that when i can't find something, i'm immediatly an idiot? i looked on the nx site, and couldn't find it. so i did what i thought i should do, and asked on here.....that is the point of this board, isn't it? for all the guys with this car to come on here, discuss the vehicle that we all love, and help each other out when needed?

i stated that i didn't know what to do with the window switch....this is the first nitrous kit that i've ever had, and it's pretty confusing at first, for everyone.....you didn't have any questions?

i'm glad to see that this is the kind of 'help' i get when i'm in need......

please don't post in my thread if you have nothing helpful or constructive to add.....

I'm not referring to questions on how such and such (i.e. window switch) works. Everyone has similar questions once in a while.

What I'm saying is that if you did in fact go to the nx site, you should've seen the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS link on the VERY FIRST PAGE you see. Once you click that, you see a link to BOTTLE HEATER. You click that and voila.

It took me 10 seconds to find the instructions and I'm not familiar with the nx site. Now that wasn't too hard, was it?

Okay, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt...you must have simply not seen the INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS button in your frantic search for INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS.

LOL, this too funny.

This is like when I showed my nitrous system at the meet and everyone asked me who installed it. Their face expression was priceless that a 20 year old kid installed a nitrous system. I don't even have any mechanical knowledge. LOL

Hmm, it could be that youve only got 34 post... Did you even try searching? There is a TON of info in this forum, if you just look a little. Did I not help you out by posting the links? It shows that you have no patience, you couldn't search this site for info, you couldn't look at the NX site for 2 seconds to find the info... If you spend the same amount of time hooking that nitrous system up, your engine is going to last just as long, about 2 seconds. Others have spent a lot of time doing writeups to be helpful, but you didnt even bother seeking those. Either way, you've got your info now. Next time search a little first.

I apologize ttumaxima if I came off like a butthole. We are all here to help and ask for help when needed. It's just that questions that have answers that can easily be found are irritating.

I give you props though. Most newbs don't donate right away like you have (I'm sure you did that so you'll have access to the search function...so be sure to put it to good use). Also, knowing that RPM window switch is a good nitrous accessory to have does show that you did some prior hw.

Don't be afraid to ask questions; we are glad to help. Just try not to ask questions that can be easily found even by members w/o the search capability by simply reading the FAQ's or using a little common sense.

FYI, if you have the digital version of the RPM window switch then you don't need to modify it. For reference, I have mine set to go on at 3500 and off at 6000 rpm. Set the "cyl" to 6. Here are the programming instructions:
http://www.msdignition.com/pdf/8969_frm25515.pdf

As far as installing it, you need to understand that it is a low amp switched ground. Therefore it should be wired in series as the last link of your trigger circuit before ground. See if you can follow the logic of how I did mine....

+12V switched --> master arm switch --> WOT switch --> solenoid relay --> fuel pressure safety switch --> RPM window switch --> ground

Connect the white signal wire to the tach wire from the ECU.
Connect red to a +12V switched source such as cigarette lighter.
Connect black to ground.
Connect yellow to your trigger circuit.
Do not connect the gray wire (unless you've figured something else to use it for).
