Ran a friends zex kit today :D

Ok this is probubly one of the ghettoist setups in maxima.org history

It was a zex kit 75 shot nozzile.
Sucked cause i had no intake so we had to rig it to the stock resonator which took away some of the shot, i just poped off the breather hose and put the nozzile in there.
Had the bottle in the floor of the passanger seat.

Second i didnt have a good switch so i taped a toggle to the shifter and just fliked it on at about 3k and off at about 5.5k (wasnt sure if i could go higher with it)

I also poped in some champion copper plugs to be safe

And i disconnected the vacum line from the regulator to make it run richer.. made the N/A driving worse tho.

It was fun, i didnt get the full effect cause of my ghetto setup but i felt the pull. I only hit it in second , third and 4th.
I have a video that ill have up as soon i get the video form my dv tape to computer.

Now that i like it im gona scram up some cash and get a real kit next spring.

most ghetto set up in history...too funny. =)

I dunno how you ghetto-rigged the zex kit (i assume you it's a dry kit), but if all you did was disconnect the vacuum line to bump up fuel pressure, you were only running 43psi when spraying (assuming you don't have an adjustable FPR). Basically no difference in fuel pressure when WOT with vacuum line attached and detached. Not good.

damm, is it still safe or was my car running way to lean, anything else i can do besides disconnecting the vacum line? Should i even disconnect it all at?
Iwas thinking pinching my return line also

O and right now i have a short in one of my o2 sensors, would that make me run leaner?

I still have the kit installed and ill have it till the weekend but i dont wanna break my car, what do you think?

So let me get this straight, you already have problems with your car, as you posted in the General Forum... Then you decide it would be a good idea to ghetto rig a nitrous system on your car, something we all know if done incorrectly can blow your motor.... Your an idiot. Pull the system out of your car until you have the time/money/intelligence to install it correctly. Last thing we need is another person complaining that NAWZ blew my motor!!!
