I want to run a WET 50 shot, should I buy this dry kit and convert it?
Long story short, my friend from college traded his body kit for a nitrous system for his Merc Cougar. Something with the fuel system in his car doesn't allow nitrous to run properly. It is a ZEX dry 50 shot with a remote bottle opener. When thinking about nitrous and whether or not I'm up to spraying, I know I want to have a Wet kit, with a bottle heater, remote bottle opener and a window rpm/WOT switch to control the spray. He is looking to sell this kit, which has been in two cars (at least) for $350. IMO, that is kind of expensive for both what I intended to run (converting to a wet) and for how much use this system has potentially has seen.
SO, should I purchase this kit? Talk him down in price possibly?
What would I need to convert to a wet kit, and can a nitrous noob do this successfully? Bottom line: I want this to be safe, and for right now I wouldn't run more than a 50 shot. Can I just call up someone like ZEX and order individual parts to convert the system? Would this be unbelievably expensive rather than just buying a full kit, one that includes all of my plans?
Thanks.
Lou

a conversion is very simple i did mine a few yrs back. all you need is a fuel solenoid a dual fogger nozzle and 2 fuel lines and a brass t fitting. you must also take apart the nitrous solenoid and use only one they come with two which creates the vacuum which you wont need anymore. i believe the parts werent that expensive if i can remember correctly.

And can you just call up a nitrous kit supplier and order these parts? Do you think it is worth the money for the dry knowing I don't want to spray anything but wet?

Yea, I would feel bad about stiffing my friend and acting cheap, but for what this kit has, and for what I want to turn it into, I don't see this as being a smart buy. Thanks for the help, and if I run nitrous, i will probably just buy that nopi kit.
